The Position:
We are in search of a highly organized and seasoned Studio Operations Manager to oversee our studio's activities. This role demands the ability to lead a small team of shoot executives and assistants, ensuring the smooth execution of studio operations and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:
    Guide a team of 2-3 shoot executives and assistants, upholding high standards of professionalism and performance.
  • Policy Implementation:
    Enforce company policies regarding vacation, illness, timekeeping, and employee expenses within the studio team.
  • Budget Management:
    Oversee the studio budget for talent, hair and makeup, photographers, and styling products, maintaining detailed records of invoices and receipts.
  • Negotiation:
    Negotiate rates with freelancers, agents, and suppliers while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Training Support:
    Collaborate with a UK-based People and Culture team to access management and leadership training opportunities.

Team Culture:
Foster a positive and performance-oriented team atmosphere that supports high-intensity E-commerce, social, and campaign shoots throughout the year.

  • Manage a quarterly social budget for the broader team, organizing events to enhance team cohesion.
  • Develop team members through tailored development plans and conduct regular one-on-one meetings to facilitate their growth.

Studio Maintenance:
Ensure a clean and orderly studio environment to maintain professional standards.

  • Manage office supplies, oversee cleaning schedules, and ensure timely payment of utility bills.
  • Assist with equipment requests and sourcing as needed by the team.
  • Organize quarterly sample sales to optimize space usage.

Booking Coordination:
Oversee all bookings for shoots and campaigns, including models, locations, and glam teams approved by creatives.

  • Maintain and update rate records and manage booking confirmations through appropriate platforms.
  • Organize necessary insurance and permits for studio operations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in studio management, preferably in the creative or photography sector.
  • Proven experience in supervising and developing a team.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiation skills and efficient budget management experience.
  • Prior experience with permitting and insurance requests is a plus.
