Key Responsibilities:
  • Automation Testing: Develop and sustain automated testing scripts utilizing frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, XCTest, and Jetpack Compose for both Android and iOS platforms.
  • Test Strategy Development: Collaborate with development teams and product stakeholders to establish testing strategies, plans, and cases for mobile applications.
  • Execution of Tests: Conduct automated testing, evaluate outcomes, and pinpoint defects or issues, including performing manual testing as required.
  • Integration with CI/CD: Incorporate automated tests into the continuous integration and deployment pipeline, utilizing tools like Jenkins and Azure Pipelines.
  • Defect Management: Record and monitor defects, work closely with developers to address issues, and perform retesting to validate fixes using tools such as Jira and ServiceNow.
  • Performance Evaluation: Assess the performance and responsiveness of mobile applications, identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Cross-Device Compatibility: Ensure mobile applications function correctly across various devices, screen sizes, and operating system versions.
  • Security Assessment: Evaluate the security aspects of mobile applications, identifying vulnerabilities that require attention.
  • Accessibility Compliance: Review adherence to accessibility standards (WCAG 2.x) for mobile applications.
  • Test Environment Configuration: Set up and maintain mobile testing environments, including emulators, simulators, and physical devices.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, scripts, and reports.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers, to enhance the overall quality of mobile applications.
  • Framework Development: Design and improve test automation frameworks to boost testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about the latest tools, techniques, and best practices in mobile testing.
  • Code Quality Assurance: Engage in code reviews to ensure maintainability and adherence to coding standards in test automation code.
  • Code Coverage Analysis: Analyze code coverage and identify areas for improvement.
  • Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve issues related to test automation infrastructure and tools.
  • In summary, a Mobile SDET Engineer is vital in ensuring mobile applications meet high-quality standards, are defect-free, and provide a positive user experience. They blend technical skills with testing expertise to automate and execute tests effectively.
Required Qualifications:
  • Proficient experience with iOS frameworks, particularly in Swift.
  • Demonstrated experience with SwiftUI.
  • Hands-on experience with Android, especially using Kotlin.
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose is essential.
  • Unit and UI testing experience across both iOS and Android platforms.
  • Automation testing of unit/UI tests using tools like Robolectric.
