Account Executive, Commercial Middle Market Specialist

As an Account Executive, Commercial Middle Market Specialist at EPIC Brokers, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service to our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to manage, retain, and grow a diverse book of Middle Market accounts, ensuring that all client needs are met while engaging in behaviors such as cross-selling and development of new business.
Key Responsibilities- Account Management: Manage the account life cycle, including pre-renewal, renewal, post-renewal, stewardship, and visiting clients as needed.
- Client Satisfaction: Work with team members at all levels to ensure client satisfaction, proactively addressing client issues and managing underwriter relationships to ensure understanding of goals and expectations.
- Account Transactions: Manage day-to-day account transactions, including additions/deletions of vehicles, property acquisitions, exposure changes, contract reviews, coverage analysis, and program recommendations with intensive client interaction.
- Renewal Management: Submit renewal business to various markets, maintain productive relationships with insurance company underwriters and staff, and work with team members to execute all renewals in a timely manner.
- Policy Administration: Check policies, coverage analysis, check endorsements, and due diligence review for clients during mergers and acquisitions, and policy audits.
- New Business Development: Seek out new business through referrals, cross-selling, and account rounding.
- Client Presentations: Effectively manage preparation and production of all elements of presentations for client meetings and properly represent the company.
- Benchmarking and Quoting: Benchmark (as needed) and present quotes to clients, including recommendations for enhancing the insurance program.
- Invoicing and Billing: Invoicing of agency and direct bills, coordinating with the Accounting Department on billing issues, and accounts receivable collection.
- Client Activity Documentation: Document client activity in the Sagitta system.
- Status Progress Reports: Provide status progress reports to managers and clients.
- Account Renewal Status: Complete weekly account renewal status.
- Experience: 8+ years of brokerage experience as an Account Executive role, preferably.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of general liability, workers' compensation, property, crime, inland marine, group automobile, fiduciary, and related lines of business.
- Rating Engine Proficiency: Rating Engine proficiency.
- Business Solutions: Ability to develop innovative and customized business solutions.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate professionally and with confidence to C-Suite in various industries.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Computer Skills: Strong computer skills, including MS Office suite, Excel, and PowerPoint, with experience on Vision or Applied systems preferred.
- College Degree: College degree in Insurance or related field, preferred.
- Licenses: New Jersey or New York P&C license.
- Client Visits: Ability to go out on client calls, both local and possibly out of state.
- Office Procedures: Ability to handle basic office procedures, including answering phones, working on computer/laptop, and moving files (no more than 5-10 lbs).
- Extra Hours: Ability to work extra hours during the heavy renewal periods.
