PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


Quality/No Harm: The Registered Nurse is responsible for:


  • Administering medications effectively, as evidenced by various assessments and evaluations.
  • Delegating and supervising patient care activities appropriately within the healthcare environment.
  • Communicating effectively with healthcare team members to foster collaboration.
  • Utilizing healthcare computer systems for order entry, inquiries, and documentation.
  • Exhibiting safe clinical practices through regular competency assessments and checklists.
  • Coordinating interdisciplinary care plans based on current evidence-based practices.
  • Documenting all aspects of nursing care, including changes in patient condition and responses to treatments.
  • Demonstrating reliability, dependability, and adaptability in all duties.

Customer Experience:


  • Providing education to patients, families, and caregivers as per the care plan.
  • Delivering services with sensitivity and respect for diverse needs and expectations.
  • Contributing positively to patient satisfaction metrics and feedback.

Stewardship:


  • Utilizing and maintaining equipment and supplies efficiently.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:


  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN licensure in Florida or endorsement.
  • Possession of a valid AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to employment.
  • Certification(s) as required by the specific nursing unit.
  • Ability to meet unit-specific care requirements.
  • Proficiency in understanding and communicating in English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


  • Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination for clinical tasks.
  • Corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges.
  • Ability to lift, turn, pull, push, or assist patients/equipment for a significant portion of the shift.
  • Capacity to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted for part of the shift.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop throughout the shift.
  • Potential exposure to biohazardous materials and infectious diseases.

MENTAL DEMANDS:


  • Ability to function in a high-stress environment with patients and families of varying ages and comprehension levels.
  • Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to critical situations.
