Front Desk Receptionist

The Front Desk Operator is responsible for providing exceptional patient and telephone reception services within the Hospital. This role requires a courteous and professional demeanor, with a focus on delivering efficient and effective communication to all callers and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a warm and welcoming greeting to all patients, visitors, and callers
- Record and deliver messages to medical staff in a timely and accurate manner
- Be the point of contact for hospital codes and miscellaneous announcements
- Monitor the lobby and exits to ensure a safe and secure environment
- Perform administrative tasks, such as data entry and filing, as needed
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum one year of administrative experience preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong computer skills and experience with software applications
The Front Desk Operator will work in a fast-paced hospital environment, with possible exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior. The role may also involve exposure to communicable diseases, blood/body fluids, and other hazardous waste.
Physical Requirements- Ability to communicate verbally in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds
- Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping
