Key Responsibilities- Food Cost Control: Develop and implement effective strategies to manage food costs, including portion control, inventory management, and purchasing procedures.
- Labor Management: Supervise and coordinate the scheduling of kitchen staff, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design and implement menus that meet the standards of quality, consistency, and style.
- Food Safety and Sanitation: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Employee Development: Provide training, coaching, and counseling to kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Event Planning: Assist with the planning and execution of events, ensuring seamless delivery of food and beverage services.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of kitchen management experience in a full-service restaurant or events venue.
- Skills: Proven track record of meeting projected costs, excellent communication and leadership skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications: Current Food Handler's card and alcohol service permit (if required by state or local government).
