Lutheran Homes Society Inc is seeking a dedicated full-time Maintenance Technician for our Independent Living Facility. This role is crucial for ensuring the upkeep of the premises and addressing maintenance requests to create a secure environment for both residents and staff. Additional tasks may be assigned by the Director of Environmental Services as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs for the facility and its equipment.
  • Timely completion of all maintenance requests.
  • Execute plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, painting, and plastering tasks as required.
  • Assist in moving furniture, refurbishing rooms, patching and painting walls, and stripping floors.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to meet state regulations.
  • Address any identified or reported safety issues.
  • Assist residents with TV setup and programming.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation every third week.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 1-2 years of relevant maintenance experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Valid driver's license is necessary.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call schedule.
