Insurance Claims Coordinator

TCI Transportation is seeking a dedicated Claims Administrator to join our team focused on commercial trucking operations.

This role is essential in supporting the Claims department under the guidance of the Claims Manager. The position requires building professional relationships across all levels of TCI, including ownership, executive teams, administrative personnel, management, drivers, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate and input new claims into the claims management software.
  • Accurately document investigations, evaluations, recommendations, and action plans.
  • Resolve issues related to commercial auto liability, workers' compensation, and transportation claims.
  • Assess and evaluate property damage or coordinate appraisals as necessary.
  • Ensure claims are settled in accordance with industry standards and compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills, effective communication, and analytical thinking.
  • Process claims efficiently and fairly.
  • Manage correspondence, including filing, faxing, digital documentation, and photocopying.
  • Collaborate with third-party administrators and claimants to ensure thorough documentation.
  • Review claims demands and provide necessary information to insurance providers.
  • Handle telephone communications, schedule medical appointments, and deliver customer service as needed.
  • Oversee workers' compensation claims from initiation to resolution, coordinating with insurers and medical professionals.
  • Engage in discussions with insurance representatives, legal advisors, and other stakeholders regarding claim progress and settlements.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Offer strategic guidance to third-party administrators on complex claims management and negotiations.

  • Background in handling Workers' Compensation, Freight, Subrogation, commercial auto, property damage, and transportation claims.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Captive and third-party administrators is a plus.
  • Prior experience in claims management within the transportation sector is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to quickly learn, multitask, and retain relevant information.
  • Capability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Legal experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A college degree is preferred; a high school diploma is required.
  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in claims management.
Compensation

Compensation is based on experience, starting at $24 per hour, plus incentives.
