Job Summary

U.S. Tsubaki Power Transmission, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join our team. As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing roller chain components, assemblies, and accessories using solid modeling software and industry-standard GD&T principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop roller chain components, assemblies, and accessories using solid modeling software and industry-standard GD&T principles.
  • Perform product-related contract review on new customer orders and product configurations.
  • Define performance criteria for roller chain designs, including key properties such as dimensions, materials, and hardness.
  • Generate component and assembly manufacturing routings.
  • Evaluate existing roller chain products for quality, performance, and cost improvement, and facilitate engineering changes to support improvements.
  • Write and maintain specifications for roller chain product lines, and control per ISO 9001 QMS requirements.
  • Write and facilitate qualification plans for new product designs and adaptations to ensure that planned changes meet their intended acceptance criteria.
  • Provide technical support to external and internal customers, including salesmen, distributors, end-users, production, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, and planning.
  • Provide product engineering training for various audiences, including employees, customers, and sales.
  • Lead or support internal improvement projects to continuously improve operations.
  • Participate in quality and safety audits to ensure conformity to ISO and OSHA regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Three plus years of related experience.
  • CAD, design, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply principles of math skills as they apply to tooling design and machining process.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
