The Piping Stress Analysis Engineer will play a crucial role in performing pipe stress evaluations using Hexagon CAESAR II across various sectors including energy, oil, and gas.

This position will primarily support the design engineering functions of the organization.

Applicants should possess a comprehensive understanding of pipe stress analysis, standard piping design methodologies, and relevant industry regulations and standards governing the design and assessment of pressure piping systems.


Key Responsibilities:
Conducting thorough pipe stress evaluations for projects within the company's portfolio.
Providing insights to internal engineering teams regarding design viability, support loadings, and nozzle loadings.
Reviewing stress analysis outcomes, technical schematics, specifications, and calculations to ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.
Offering technical expertise and assistance to address complex engineering issues and enhance pipe system designs for optimal performance and reliability.
Assisting in-service stress assessments for Fitness-For-Service, service modifications, or other necessary evaluations.
  • Engaging in client discussions, presentations, and negotiations to address technical questions, scope modifications, and project progress.

Collaboration with Stakeholders:
Working alongside cross-functional teams to align substation designs with comprehensive infrastructure strategies and operational plans.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:


Proficient in Hexagon CAESAR II and CADWorx.
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Strong reporting skills and leadership capabilities.
In-depth knowledge of the principles, methodologies, and best practices in stress analysis.
Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.
Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

At least 3 years of experience in stress analysis, particularly in pipe stress evaluation.

Thorough understanding of industry and governmental codes and standards such as ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, B31.12, CFR 49 Part 192, CFR 49 Part 193, CFR 49 Part 195, ASCE 7.
Extensive experience in troubleshooting existing systems and resolving common industry challenges independently.

Outstanding communication skills, with the capacity to effectively collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Compensation:
$90K to $115K DOE
