Position Overview:
The Mechanical Stress Engineer will play a crucial role in performing pipe stress evaluations using Hexagon CAESAR II across various sectors including energy, oil, and gas. This position primarily supports the design engineering functions within Campos EPC, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute pipe stress evaluations for a diverse range of projects within the Campos EPC portfolio.
  • Offer insights to internal engineering teams regarding design viability, support loadings, and nozzle loadings.
  • Analyze stress evaluation results, technical drawings, specifications, and calculations to verify adherence to industry standards and client specifications.
  • Provide expert guidance to address complex engineering issues and enhance the efficiency and reliability of piping system designs.
  • Conduct in-service stress assessments for Fitness-For-Service evaluations, service changes, or additional analyses as required.
Collaboration with Stakeholders:
  • Engage in client discussions, presentations, and negotiations to resolve technical questions, scope modifications, and project status updates.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams to align substation designs with broader infrastructure strategies and operational goals.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Expertise in Hexagon CAESAR II and CADWorx.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of stress analysis principles, procedures, and best practices.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving competencies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience focusing on stress analysis, particularly in pipe stress evaluation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of industry and regulatory codes and standards such as ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, B31.12, CFR 49 Part 192, CFR 49 Part 193, CFR 49 Part 195, ASCE 7.
  • Extensive experience in troubleshooting existing systems and resolving technical challenges independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
