This role may offer a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work with in-office responsibilities, subject to supervisor approval.

Position Title: Electrical Transmission Project Coordinator

Reports To: Director of Transmission Project Management

FLSA Status: Exempt

Core Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and implement transmission construction initiatives across the AMP Member network, ensuring timely and budget-compliant execution.

2. Collaborate with AMPT Planning, Engineering, Operations, and Project Management teams to develop, execute, and maintain AMPT transmission infrastructure.

3. Strategically plan, execute, monitor, and finalize projects in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

Key Duties:

1. Formulate and assess requests for proposals.

2. Manage activities throughout various phases of project development, including right-of-way and real estate acquisition, design, material procurement, construction, and project closeout.

3. Communicate and coordinate with AMPT members regarding project progress and activities.

4. Evaluate the performance of consultants and contractors, including payment applications and contract modifications; proactively address disputes and claims.

5. Administer agreements and amendments.

6. Generate purchase requisitions and process construction-related invoices.

7. Develop and report on project budgets, including regular updates, variances, progress, expenses, and contract records.

8. Collaborate with the Director of Transmission Operations on outage scheduling and execution.

9. Ensure the timely delivery of all owner-furnished equipment at project sites.

10. Guarantee that construction activities adhere to specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.

11. Maintain knowledge of FERC Standards of Conduct.

12. Collaborate with other AMPT functions as necessary.

13. Supervise the work of consultants and legal advisors as required.

14. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. An Associate's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field is required; a Bachelor of Science degree is preferred.

2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management is required; 5 years is preferred.

3. Must be adept at managing critical paths and prioritizing multiple tasks effectively.

4. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential; the ability to creatively solve problems in a collaborative environment is necessary.

5. Proficient in software tools that generate spreadsheets, written reports, database reports, and graphical presentations (e.g., Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint).

6. Familiarity with project management software tools is essential.

7. Willingness to travel to assigned project locations is required.
