Team and Role Overview:
The Senior Manager of Marketing Operations plays a pivotal role within the Growth team at Pinecone, focusing on enhancing marketing processes, overseeing data strategies, and promoting efficiency through analytical insights. This position demands a comprehensive grasp of marketing technologies, data management, and process enhancement to align with Pinecone's growth ambitions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic and Tactical Expertise:
- Demonstrated experience in growth marketing within a Product-Led Growth (PLG) and B2B SaaS framework.
- Ability to craft and implement marketing initiatives aimed at business decision-makers.
- Proficiency in designing and refining behaviorally triggered lifecycle email campaigns.
Technical Proficiencies:
- Expertise in marketing automation platforms and CRM systems.
- Solid understanding of A/B testing techniques and tools.
- Experience in data analysis and metrics to inform marketing strategies and decisions.
Lead Management and Team Collaboration:
- Skilled in optimizing lead transfer processes between marketing and sales, ensuring effective lead management and communication.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product marketing, developer relations, and sales.
Advertising and Budget Oversight:
- Expertise in advising on and managing advertising strategies, including budget distribution and conversion effectiveness.
- Capability to create and oversee comprehensive advertising campaigns that stimulate growth and engagement.
Event and Webinar Coordination:
- Experience in organizing webinars and virtual events, focusing on audience segmentation, engagement, and follow-up.
- Ability to collaborate with partner marketing to ensure successful execution of partner events across various regions.
- Familiarity with integrating proactive outreach tactics into overall marketing strategies to enhance pipeline growth.
Team Development:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to manage multiple stakeholders and align team efforts with business goals.
Additional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing operations, data management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4+ years of experience in Marketing Operations and/or Marketing Data Analysis.
- Proven experience in writing SQL queries and applying them within marketing platforms.
- Strong understanding of lead scoring, routing, and presentation to sales teams in a PLG context.
- Demonstrated ability to convert data into actionable insights that drive business results.
- Expertise in top-of-funnel strategies and processes for pipeline growth.
- Experience in establishing and implementing privacy and consent management procedures in compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other regulations.
- Extensive knowledge of marketing technologies and data management practices.
- Proven track record in process optimization and operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication and change management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Hubspot, and BI Tools (e.g., Metabase, Sigma).
- Experience in creating and managing marketing dashboards and reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Preference for prior experience in AI/ML/Data/Developer-centric organizations.
