Job Summary

Citizens is seeking a highly skilled Verticals Marketing Strategist to lead marketing efforts for our key verticals: Private Equity and Venture Capital, Innovation Economy, Commercial Real Estate, and other emerging industries. The ideal candidate will develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans that drive growth and enhance our brand presence within these segments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verticals Marketing Strategy: Craft and implement marketing strategies tailored to Private Equity and Venture Capital, Innovation Economy, Commercial Real Estate, and other emerging verticals.
  • Collaboration and Cross-Functional Partnerships: Collaborate closely with Marketing & Communications teams, including Creative, Events, Digital, Social, Communications, etc. Work with Marketing teams across Business, Investment and Commercial Banking to align vertical marketing programs with cross-firm goals.
  • Leadership and Influence: Demonstrate leadership through influence, motivating teams to achieve outstanding results. Communicate and gain buy-in effectively within a matrixed environment. Exhibit strong empathy and partnership skills, fostering collaboration across departments and with external partners.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in developing and executing strategic marketing plans across multiple channels.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to build trust with senior leaders by delivering strategic marketing solutions.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
  • Strong ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • Private Bank/Private Wealth marketing experience including advertising, direct, digital and public relations.
  • Strong channel experience in digital marketing including search, display, social and content.
  • Experience developing insightful and clear creative, marketing, advertising and/or media briefs, using research, data, personas, and customer journey maps.
