Job Description

The Supply Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining the Supply Plan and inventory management of finished goods. This role works closely with Regional Planners, Marketing partners, Production Planners, and Operations to ensure a global focus on the optimization of supply of finished goods with an emphasis on worldwide inventory flow, visibility, and management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with Regional/functional teams to ensure sufficient finished goods inventory supply to all worldwide affiliates
  • Collaborate with Marketing and/or Demand Planner Organization to ensure adequate product deployment execution and worldwide inventory balancing in S&OP
  • Work closely with worldwide affiliates to understand and establish regional/worldwide inventory stocking levels
  • Define and manage SAP applicable parametric settings and master data
  • Participate in new product introductions or product discontinuation projects
  • Develop analysis and reports related to inventory level projections, metrics, etc.
  • Manage applicable OEM products, ensuring adequate worldwide inventory
  • Prepare and manage Supply Chain applicable metrics
  • Stay up-to-date on basic requirements for compliance in own area of work and comply with those requirements
Requirements:
  • Solid knowledge of Supply Chain procedures (planning, demand management, product deployment, and inventory control)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment coordinating multi-discipline activities
  • Proven ability to effectively interact with multi-functional areas (Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, Purchasing, Finance, Quality, etc.)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented individual with a strong ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with an ERP system and common software applications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years planning experience in a manufacturing environment
  • A minimum of 2 years of SAP SCM/APO module experience
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree
  • Advanced Excel, Access
