Key Responsibilities
  • Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules that ensure consistency between ERP production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead the team in planning and implementing continuous improvement initiatives and best practices for the MRP system.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, purchasing, account management, quality, and engineering, to gather relevant information and ensure accurate plans and schedules.
  • Inventory Management: Create and sustain a PFEP (Plan for Every Part) inventory strategy to balance service level expectations with inventory levels.
  • Demand Forecasting: Monitor and analyze demand forecasts, sales orders, and production requirements to balance supply and demand effectively.
  • Sales and Operations Planning: Partner with the S&OP team to ensure alignment between supply plans and schedules.
  • Process Improvement: Assess production processes, lead times, and capacity constraints to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize scheduling efficiency.
  • Communication: Communicate production schedules and updates to stakeholders, including account management, production, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Risk Management: Identify and evaluate risks, issues, and conflicts that could impact schedules and develop mitigation plans accordingly.
  • Analytics: Define analytical requirements and develop reports, dashboards, or PowerBI analytics to support decision-making.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate master data and planning parameters to ensure correct supply and demand signals.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, operations management, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • ERP/MRP Experience: At least 5 years of experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Supply Chain Management: A minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management.
  • Skills: Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptability: Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate potential production issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 5%.
