Position Overview: The Production Planning Coordinator will be responsible for developing, organizing, and maintaining production schedules to optimize efficiency and meet delivery targets. This role involves collaboration with various internal teams to assess and integrate material availability, inventory management, resource allocation, and delivery commitments into the scheduling process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage production schedules to fulfill customer demands while maximizing resource utilization.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing teams to align labor requirements and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Communicate schedule updates to internal and external stakeholders by monitoring Key Performance Indicators.
  • Review material availability and synchronize demand with supplier planners.
  • Manage inventory adjustments and oversee the processing of scrap, while addressing any discrepancies in production components.
  • Maintain safety stock levels for make-to-stock materials while adhering to planning parameters.
  • Utilize Make To Order, Make To Stock, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and capacity planning to meet production demands.
  • Analyze MRP run results and exception messages to determine material needs and ensure alignment with demand.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a College/University Degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in SAP is essential.
  • Strong understanding of production and inventory control methodologies.
  • Ability to follow up effectively to ensure successful execution of production schedules.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in current software applications, including MS Office.
  • Demonstrated teamwork, customer focus, and initiative, with the ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and work hours.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess fluctuating demands and minimize production changes.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a sense of urgency.
