Overview:
Business Objective:
To enhance the Client's native One View application.
- Oversee the development of the application.
The following outlines the primary duties associated with this role. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary:
- Guide the delivery team's focus during PI planning, sprint planning, and other agile ceremonies, ensuring alignment with broader platform objectives.
- Effectively communicate product vision to the delivery team.
- Collaborate with delivery, design, business, and operations teams to innovate new products and refine existing functionalities.
- Maintain and prioritize the team's backlog of user stories, acting as a subject matter expert on features and product capabilities.
- Manage critical issues and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
- Serve as a vital resource for the development team, providing clarifications and coordinating business validation.
- Update leadership on the progress of epic and feature deliveries, including any dependencies affecting timelines, along with suggested solutions.
- Work alongside solution architects and technical leads to ensure that solutions meet program priorities while maintaining client experience and technical integrity.
- Facilitate sprint planning sessions with stakeholders to ensure alignment on feature development timelines and adherence to the product roadmap.
- Conduct sprint demonstrations and provide final approval for completed user stories, ensuring they meet acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate the creation of essential release documentation, including support models, go/no-go approvals, and internal release notes.
- Risk Management: Ensure compliance with Product Management Lifecycle (PML) processes, supporting security, risk, and audit requirements, while meeting deadlines for action items.
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, design, technology, or a related field is required.
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of experience in banking, financial services, digital, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in product management, analysis, technology, or design.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams for a minimum of three years.
- Proven track record in defining and executing business initiatives aligned with a product roadmap.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and ability to collaborate with technology teams to align product and technology strategies.
- Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and make independent decisions.
- Strong analytical skills with the capability to interpret data, identify trends, and propose solutions.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, communication, and negotiation skills.
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner for Agile teams in the banking or financial services sector.
- Master's degree in business, engineering, design, or technology; banking or financial management education is a plus.
- Experience working with distributed teams (onshore/offshore).
- Certification as a SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (or equivalent).
- Familiarity with commercial payments, treasury management, and/or commercial banking.
