Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Associate Director of Student and Alumni Engagement to join our team at St. John Fisher University. This role will be responsible for developing and executing programs that foster meaningful connections between students and alumni, enhancing the student experience and cultivating a vibrant, lifelong alumni network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the student-to-alumni lifecycle, partnering with key stakeholders to ensure programming begins with student engagement and continues through the alumni experience.
  • Partner with Career Services to develop and execute key programs and events that support students' career exploration, including career fairs, job shadowing, alumni workshops, and other opportunities that focus on alumni sharing their expertise and career experiences.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to understand the current role of alumni in the classroom and support efforts to recruit and engage alumni volunteers for departmental curricular and extracurricular programs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key campus partners and student-run organizations to increase alumni contributions to the student educational experience.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in development/alumni relations, higher education experience, or a related field
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of individuals across various departments and organizational levels
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems, LinkedIn, databases, and relevant software to manage and analyze alumni data and engagement metrics
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a well-lighted, well-ventilated, and pleasant work area with access to Google Documents, a personal computer with MS Office Suite, and Banner (data warehouse for all functional areas across campus).
