Job Summary

Mural Oncology is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our commercial strategy and planning efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive commercial plans to support the launch of our late-stage development programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive portfolio plan for late-stage development programs and new products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize strategic initiatives to support the growth and success of new products.
  • Provide insight into market and competitive dynamics, including key risks associated with development programs and recognizing key assumptions and decisions that may impact long-term revenue forecasts.
  • Establish and cultivate a new commercial strategy function in an entrepreneurial environment to help drive decision-making across the organization.
  • Support business development activities via clear communication of commercial opportunity to potential partners.
Requirements
  • Strong background in commercial strategy with experience in building detailed commercial forecasts to support key decision making.
  • Robust oncology drug development and commercial planning experience.
  • Experience preparing for and launching a product, developing and refining a commercial strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess market opportunities, develop product strategies, and evaluate forecasts.
  • Experience working with R&D organizations to drive optimal portfolio decision making.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, relationship building, and interpersonal skills.
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline is preferred; an advanced or professional degree is highly desirable (e.g., PhD, MD, or MBA).
  • 15 years of biopharmaceutical industry experience, including mid- to late-stage clinical development and commercial planning activities.
  • Experience in taking product candidates from clinical development through commercial launch.
  • Strong brand management/marketing acumen and experience launching and growing at least one biopharmaceutical product brand.
