Job Overview

Position Summary:
This role is integral to the registrar team, focusing on the creation and execution of a robust enrollment strategy. The individual in this position acts as a subject matter expert on student records and serves as the primary designated school official, providing essential guidance to prospective international students and their families while overseeing registration-related documentation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain consistent attendance during regular work hours.
  • Assist with data entry for the Texas Success Initiative.
  • Compile and maintain reports, data, and statistics pertinent to assigned tasks.
  • Review and input transcripts into the student information system.
  • Process and verify international student admissions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Oversee the International Student program and manage the issuance of F1 forms I20.
  • Act as the primary designated school official (PDSO) for the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS), serving as a liaison for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Support other designated school officials (DSOs) in issuing M1 forms I20 as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Handle National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) degree verifications and assist with NSC reporting.
  • Collaborate effectively as a member of the Registrar's Office team, facilitating registration processes for all students.
  • Participate in committees as needed.
  • Assist with Reverse Transfer Initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of professional office experience.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, proficiency in computer applications, attention to detail, and the ability to engage professionally with diverse populations.
  • A successful candidate will respect student privacy and possess a solid understanding of academic programs, procedures, and the higher education landscape.
  • Proficiency in data entry and computer usage is essential.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • No direct reports.

Work Environment:

  • Work is typically conducted in an office and classroom setting.
  • Minimal physical effort is required; however, the ability to occasionally lift or move up to 15 pounds is necessary.
  • Exposure to physical risk is limited.
