Position Overview:

The Sales Associate is integral to the daily operations of the store, emphasizing customer interaction, store efficiency, and upholding merchandising standards. This role is perfect for confident individuals who find fulfillment in genuine, engaging, and motivating exchanges with customers. Sales Associates prioritize customer needs and are enthusiastic about promoting brand loyalty and store engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Experience:
  • Demonstrates a passion for the brand by wearing its products while on duty.
  • Welcomes every customer warmly.
  • Actively interacts with customers on the sales floor by posing open-ended questions.
  • Assists customers in the fitting room.
  • Recommends products that best suit customer needs.
Operational Duties:
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Responds promptly to any customer or associate injuries, reporting them to the manager on duty.
Visual Presentation:
  • Follows visual merchandising guidelines as directed.
Store Environment:
  • Respects diverse backgrounds and experiences, maintaining the integrity and values of Kontoor Brands.
  • Encourages a culture of participation, creativity, and learning by sharing best practices.
  • Seeks sustainable practices and acknowledges the store's environmental impact.
  • Embraces the store culture and adapts to changes as directed by management.
Qualifications:
  • Maintains a positive demeanor with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Previous experience in retail or service roles is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to collaborate with a team to achieve sales goals.
  • Comfortable initiating conversations with customers.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Essential Functions:
  • Utilizes office equipment and technology (e.g., cash registers, computers, phones, scanners).
  • Stands for scheduled shifts of up to 8 hours.
  • Moves throughout the store to assist customers and maintain store organization.
  • Lifts and carries items, regularly maneuvering up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Pushes/pulls merchandise racks for restocking purposes.
  • Reaches, stretches, bends, stoops, and crouches to retrieve items and maintain cleanliness.
  • Occasionally engages in manual tasks to set up displays or rearrange store layout.
  • Possesses the vision to accurately read labels and assist customers with attention to detail.
  • Utilizes fine motor skills to sort and organize clothing effectively.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Compensation Range: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour, with $15.50/hour in specific states.
