JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Position Overview:

  • Engage primarily in patient-focused assessments and interventions related to cognitive-communication, while also addressing speech, voice, and swallowing needs as clinically appropriate. Deliver outstanding direct evaluation and intervention as part of an interdisciplinary clinical care team, collaborating closely with physicians, allied health professionals, behavioral health experts, and integrative care providers.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of care and provide educational resources regarding treatment methodologies.
  • Offer clinical treatment and educational support for patients and their families concerning communication strategies and cognitive support techniques.
  • Enhance the quality of care within the BRAVE Program by promoting an understanding of and integration of strategies that support foundational aspects of TBI-related persistent symptom improvement, focusing primarily on cognitive functioning, auditory challenges, and communication.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in small group settings aimed at program development, quality enhancement, and/or continuing education initiatives as necessary.

*Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, exercise sound judgment, and engage effectively with diverse and challenging personalities.
  • Proficient in researching and critically evaluating best evidence to inform clinical decision-making and effectively disseminating knowledge to colleagues, as well as communicating relevant findings in accessible language to the general public.
  • Capable of setting objectives, prioritizing tasks, and following through on initiatives.
  • Adaptable to continually changing environments.
  • Able to perform under moderate to high levels of stress.
  • Current knowledge of or a willingness to learn about military culture.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels within a dynamic workplace.
  • Maintain a positive and cooperative demeanor.
  • Proficient organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision, ensuring a well-structured work environment. Proficient in using various computer applications.
