JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  2. Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice management and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  3. Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable and receivable, and other general ledger accounts.
  4. Analyze financial data and trends to identify variances, anomalies, and areas for enhancement.
  5. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
  6. Support tax preparation and compliance activities, including the creation of tax returns and supporting documentation.
  7. Facilitate external audits by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and assistance as required.
  8. Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and improve efficiency and accuracy.
  9. Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and regulations.
  10. Participate in special projects and initiatives as directed by management.

Qualifications:

(Any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience)

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in an accounting role.

Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft 365 with a focus on Microsoft Excel, including building formulas, workbooks, and pivot table functions. Experience in accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) tasks with data entry. Proven experience in an accounting role with responsibilities for maintaining records, entering journal entries, and reporting.

Other Qualifications: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policy and procedure manuals, as well as technical procedures. Proficient in writing reports and business correspondence. Capable of effectively presenting information and responding to inquiries from groups of managers, customers, and other employees. Skilled in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. Competent in solving practical problems and navigating a variety of variables in situations with limited standardization. Able to interpret various instructions and apply them to specific situations.

Attendance: Regular attendance is essential for this position.

English Language: Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required.
