Job Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, and general ledger accounting. This role requires a strong understanding of financial management and a ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and analyze monthly operating results.
- Prepare financial analysis for reports and decision making.
- Publish monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements and other management reports as needed.
- Assist with establishing and maintaining systems and internal controls which verify the integrity of all systems, process, and data.
- Assist with council audits and preparation of financial reports required by various agencies.
- Assist with annual budget preparation.
- Provide administrative assistance as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years related experience.
- Government or grant general ledger accounting experience preferred.
