Family Engagement Coordinator

JCC Greater Boston is in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic Family Engagement Coordinator to enhance our Family Programs & Events team. This role is pivotal in connecting with families in the Greater Boston region, offering support, resources, and opportunities for meaningful community involvement. As a Family Engagement Coordinator, you will be instrumental in nurturing relationships and fostering a sense of community for families with young children.
This is a part-time, 10-hour-a-week hybrid role. The starting hourly wage is $25.50, which will be adjusted based on experience.
The Family Engagement Coordinator will focus on two primary responsibilities: conducting virtual outreach with new parents through the Welcome Baby initiative and designing and executing a range of in-person programs for families with children aged 0-6 across various communities in Greater Boston. You will ensure the success of these events through comprehensive needs assessments, innovative program development, effective communication with stakeholders, logistical planning, and on-site support during events. This position is part of the Family Engagement & Jewish Life team, dedicated to enriching the lives of families by providing joyful, meaningful, and inclusive experiences.

Key Responsibilities- Design and implement a variety of engaging and enriching events, ensuring their successful execution.
- Conduct regular needs assessments to inform program development.
- Collaborate on strategic planning initiatives across the family engagement team.
- Oversee the planning and execution of programs and events.
- Transport necessary supplies for events and programs.
- Initiate promotional activities to effectively market events and programs.
- Coordinate staffing for on-site events and programs.
- Build and maintain relationships with local community members and program partners.
- Manage daily program and event expenses within budgetary constraints.
- Process invoices and manage expense payments in a timely manner.
- Contact parents registered for Welcome Baby visits, conduct the visits, and follow up with resources and responses to inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records and data related to visits and events.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: A Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field are required. Proficiency in computer applications, including social media and Microsoft Office Suite, as well as familiarity with videoconferencing tools like Zoom, is essential.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- A valid Massachusetts driver's license is required, along with the ability to pass a standard MVR check.
- Understanding of the needs of families with young children, with the ability to translate feedback into innovative experiences.
- Ability to design programs that incorporate Jewish values to create engaging experiences.
- Strong project management skills, with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with parents and professionals.
- Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.
- Capacity to multitask and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills and active listening capabilities.

Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with multiple tasks and priorities. Must have access to a private space for virtual visits. Capable of lifting and transporting items weighing up to 30 pounds. The role involves standard office work in a typical office setting.
