Job Summary
The Los Rios Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time, temporary (adjunct) faculty position in geology. This is an ongoing recruitment, and applicants are contacted and hired year-round based on college needs.

As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean, helping students achieve their academic potential, assessing student learning outcomes, and maintaining a thorough knowledge of your teaching field. You will also be expected to utilize current technology, adhere to professional conduct and ethics, and participate in faculty governance and accreditation activities.

The instructional assignment may encompass teaching courses across all levels in geology, including physical geology, earth science, and laboratory courses. Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have a Master's degree in geology, geophysics, earth sciences, meteorology, oceanography, or paleontology, or a Bachelor's degree in geology and a Master's degree in geography, physics, or geochemistry. All degrees must be from an accredited institution completed by the time of hire. You must also have an equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds of community college students.
