Job Summary
The Los Rios Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time, temporary (adjunct) faculty position in anthropology. This pool is open continuously and refreshed every two years.

As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean, helping students master course content, assessing student learning outcomes, and maintaining a thorough knowledge of your teaching field. You will also be expected to continue professional development, utilize current technology, and adhere to professional conduct and ethics standards.

The instructional assignment may encompass teaching courses across all levels in anthropology, including biological anthropology, introduction to forensic anthropology, and native peoples of California. Specific courses offered may vary by campus.

To be considered for this position, you must have a master's degree in anthropology or archaeology, or a bachelor's degree in either field and a master's degree in a related field such as sociology, biological sciences, or forensic sciences. You must also have an equity-minded focus and be able to foster an inclusive educational environment.
