Job Summary
The Los Rios Community College District is seeking a pool of qualified applicants for a temporary part-time (Adjunct) Faculty teaching assignment in Philosophy. This is an open until filled pool. Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean. Key responsibilities include helping students achieve their academic potential, assessing student learning outcomes, and maintaining a thorough knowledge of the subject matter.

Key Responsibilities
The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for:
• Teaching assigned classes in Philosophy
• Assessing student learning outcomes
• Maintaining a thorough knowledge of the subject matter
• Continuing professional development
• Utilizing current technology in the performance of job duties
• Maintaining standards of professional conduct and ethics
• Assisting with articulation and curriculum development
• Participating in faculty governance and accreditation activities

Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must have a master's degree and one year of formal training, internship, or leadership experience reasonably related to the administrator's administrative assignment. Additionally, applicants must have an equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
