Position Overview:

Role: Housekeeping Team Leader

As a Housekeeping Team Leader, you will oversee the housekeeping personnel, ensuring that both brand and guest service standards are upheld while promoting sustainability practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide training, scheduling, coaching, and support to team members, ensuring adherence to established brand or hotel standards and alignment with core values.
  • Conduct screening of job candidates and facilitate the hiring process for new team members.
  • Instruct staff on efficient room cleaning techniques in accordance with established protocols or collaborate with external vendors for proper training.
  • Monitor and communicate guest service metrics to enhance satisfaction and drive improvements.
  • Distribute cleaning supplies and equipment to team members.
  • Occasionally assist with room cleaning as needed.
  • Address performance and behavioral issues with team members through direct intervention or vendor communication.
  • Supervise laundry operations, if applicable.
  • Create work schedules for team members or provide vendors with occupancy forecasts to ensure adequate staffing.
  • Adhere to sustainability practices as outlined in the EarthView program.
  • Maintain safe working practices, utilizing protective equipment and following MSDS and OSHA guidelines.
  • Support breakfast area operations as required.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction through attentive service.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma preferred.
  • Prior experience in housekeeping or equivalent training is required.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
