Job Overview

Petra Construction Corporation is a leading building construction firm with a rich history and extensive experience in completing projects across various sectors. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in the development, pricing, execution, and completion of construction projects.

This office-based position requires strong construction knowledge and experience, with a focus on contributing to the team's goal of completing all project requirements on time, within budget, and to a level of quality that exceeds client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with project planning and scheduling
  • Prepare and process subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Attend and record project meetings
  • Prepare change orders, submittals, and maintain submittal logs
  • Manage subcontractors and material suppliers
  • Review daily reports
  • Record keeping
  • Review subcontractor requisitions
  • Assist with attaining substantial and final project completion on time and within budget

Requirements

  • 6 months-3 years of project management experience at a construction firm
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Construction Management/Science, or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of project delivery methods
  • Basic understanding of contractual documents, plans, specifications, and construction methods
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office and MS Project proficiency
  • Experience with, or ability to learn and use, Procore project management software
  • Capability and desire to work as a member of a team
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems, follow specific instructions
  • Professional demeanor
  • OSHA 10 certification; OSHA 30 Certification within 6 months of hire
