Are you a seasoned Plumbing Project Manager looking for a new challenge? Gpac, a 30+ year recruitment company, is partnering with a well-established company in the Mechanical Construction industry to find the perfect Project Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate mechanical construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring seamless execution and timely delivery.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all projects, enabling effective ordering of materials, issuance of subcontracts, and preparation of billings, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of general conditions, work scope, and specifications of project contracts/subcontracts.
  • Proactively plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve emerging issues before they become major concerns.
  • Estimate and sell projects of various types, including plan/spec, design/assist, and design/build.
  • Oversee the preparation of fabrication shop work packages, ensuring a strong understanding of detail drawing review, material take-off, and man-hour fabrication budget.
  • Collaborate with the Safety Department to analyze, manage, and mitigate project risks, ensuring safety on each job site and compliance with building and safety regulations.
  • Ensure contractual conditions of performance are met.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Plumbing Project Management
  • Plumbing Journeyman License
  • Commercial & Industrial Experience required
  • Bachelor's degree or demonstrated equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical and logic skills with the ability to maintain precision on detailed work
  • Stable work history and a proven track record in Construction Management or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is a plus
  • Knowledge of HVAC and Piping Systems, building products, construction details/design, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages and strong computer skills
  • Proficient in P6 or Microsoft Project and able to provide examples of a project resource-loaded schedule
