Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and uphold the core values and mission statement of AVC
- Work with the Medical Director to provide leadership for the clinical team and optimize daily workflow
- Be aware of the hospital climate and be on-site and available to all employees
- Take a proactive approach to influence a positive and collaborative work environment
- Be responsible for employee assessment, engagement, and retention
- Connect with associates regularly to ensure consistent communication and provide performance reviews
- Lead the support staff team through development and mentorship, fostering great relationships with direct reports
- Manage work schedules for all associates
- Participate in onboarding new hires and facilitate all new hire paperwork
- Address client concerns and develop client management strategies
- Maintain a set of employment policies and employee manual
- Develop and grow hospital marketing program
- Be responsible for maintaining hospital inventory
- Build up and maintain relationships with the surrounding veterinary community
Requirements:
- CVPM or Bachelor's degree
- Two years in a management role
- Advanced computer skills and the ability to become proficient in the use of practice management software (Ezyvet)
- Organized, independent, and excellent communicator
- Empathetic and respectful to teammates and clients
