Job Summary

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking an experienced NeuroICU Advanced Practice Provider to join our expanding critical care team. The ideal candidate will be based out of AdventHealth Orlando, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct clinical services for critically ill adult patients with multi-system failure, utilizing evidence-based clinical practice standards under the supervision of the patient's physician.
  • Obtain patient health histories and complete physical examinations, documenting findings in accordance with hospital requirements.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests, explaining the necessity, preparation, nature, and anticipated effects of procedures to patients, staff, and healthcare learners.
  • Perform CPR, airway management, and other procedures commensurate with an ICU environment.
  • Interface patients with monitoring and instrumentation equipment, directing and educating others in performing the same functions.
  • Formulate and implement treatment plans for acute illness management in collaboration with the designated primary supervising physician and/or attending back-up physician(s).
  • Assess patients for changes in status and institute appropriate interventions, including initiation of necessary emergency interventions to stabilize patients.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing (Acute Care Certification) or Physician Assistant Studies.
  • 1-2 years' experience in the NeuroICU as a PA or ACNP.
  • Experience as an RN in the NeuroICU (Highly preferred but not required).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current, valid Florida PA or APRN license.
  • Certification by NCCPA, ANCC, or other nationally recognized certification organization.
  • BLS, ACLS, and ENLS certifications.
