Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Youth Day Treatment Therapist to join our team. This role involves conducting diagnostic evaluations and delivering day treatment services, which include both individual and group psychotherapy tailored for children and adolescents. The therapist will operate within the framework of the client's Individualized Service Plan, focusing on high-intensity group counseling as part of our day treatment program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform intake and diagnostic assessments for children and youth, establishing medical necessity for the required level of care.
  • Deliver individual, family, and group therapy to clients diagnosed with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED).
  • Assist with care coordination needs, such as transportation and resource linkage, until the client's designated care coordinator is available.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individual Service Plans in collaboration with clients, families, and treatment team members to address specific needs.
  • Evaluate treatment effectiveness through ongoing assessments and outcome measurements as per agency protocols.
  • Facilitate referrals to appropriate internal and external resources as necessary.
  • When required, create Individual Client Crisis Plans that promote client development and safety, ensuring connections to suitable treatment providers.
  • Maintain clinical documentation and records in accordance with agency standards.
  • Achieve direct service productivity goals as outlined by the agency.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation requirements, obtaining necessary supervisory approvals on clinical documents when applicable.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Counseling or Social Work is required.
  • Possession of an active license to practice as a counselor (LPC, LPCC) or social worker (LSW, LISW).
  • Experience in delivering high-intensity day treatment services to children and youth is preferred.
  • No criminal record that would disqualify you from working in a child-serving environment.

Individuals eligible to operate company vehicles must possess a valid driver's license and meet the coverage criteria set by the agency's commercial insurance provider. Those using personal vehicles for business purposes must provide proof of insurance.
