Caregiver Specialist

Compensation PackageThe compensation package for this role includes a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on skills, experience, qualifications, and certifications/licenses. In addition, employees may be eligible for discretionary and/or non-discretionary bonuses.
Job DescriptionAs a Care Manager at Sunrise Senior Living, you will be responsible for providing the highest degree of quality care and services to a consistent group of residents and their families in our assisted living and reminiscence neighborhoods.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Building meaningful relationships with seniors and their families, providing assistance with activities of daily living, and getting to know their unique preferences and personalities
- Notifying management of changes in condition and recommending adjustments in the level of care and service
- Assisting residents in life skills and other life-enriching activities as indicated on their individual profile
You will also participate in the development of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and monthly updates, ensure community compliance with OSHA requirements and promotion of Risk Management programs and policies, and respond to dining needs of residents and guests while maintaining Sunrise hospitality and service standards.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Dedication to serving seniors with excellent customer service skills
- A positive attitude and the flexibility to perform various duties in service to residents and the ability to work in a team environment
- A high school diploma or GED accepted and may be required per state regulations
- In states where appropriate, must maintain certifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Previous experience working with seniors preferred
- Ability to make choices, decisions, and act in the resident's best interest
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and a level of understanding
- Competent in organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
