Job Overview

SUMMARY

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional service to guests by providing food and beverage options, ensuring a pleasant dining experience, and handling payments when necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest Interaction

  • Uphold guest service as the primary focus of operations.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to addressing guests' needs promptly.
  • Strive to ensure every guest is satisfied with their experience.
  • Meet or surpass established guest satisfaction benchmarks.
  • Ensure that hotel standards and services enhance the delivery of consistent guest service.
  • Implement guest service initiatives in accordance with Gulph Creek Hotels' standards.

Breakfast Service Duties

  • Complete all assigned side-work and cleaning tasks as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of all food items offered.
  • Provide attentive service, prioritizing guests' needs.
  • Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in both front-of-house and back-of-house breakfast areas.
  • Ensure all dishes are washed and stored properly before the end of the shift.
  • Prepare for the next day's service based on expected occupancy.
  • Keep an accurate inventory of all items in the breakfast area.
  • Adhere to attendance standards as required by scheduling needs.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the appropriate uniform and name tag.
  • Comply with all Gulph Creek standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Guests should always feel welcomed, comfortable, and well-cared for.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma and/or experience in the hospitality industry or a related field is preferred.

LANGUAGE and MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English, including simple instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently with guests, colleagues, and supervisors for optimal property operations.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
