Patient Care Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant II to join our team at OU Health's Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences Clinic. In this critical support role, you will assist physicians and advanced practice providers with direct patient care, coordinate administrative tasks, and contribute to the overall success of our healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Performs cleaning, sterilization and/or high-level disinfection of scopes, probe, instruments and equipment according to manufacturer instructions for use.
- Participates in the development of the plan of care, including implementation and evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions which may include oral, intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous medication administration (exclusive of narcotics) as directed by a physician or physician assistant.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in Patient Care as a Medical Assistant or similar patient care role required.
- One of the following certifications are required upon hire: Medical Assistant - American Medical Technologists (AMT), Registered Medical Assistant - American Association of Medical Personnel, Registered Medical Assistant - American Allied Health, Certified Medical Assistant - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant - National HealthCareer Association, National Certified Medical Assistant - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant - National Association for Health Professionals.
