Job Title: Director Planning & Analysis

Job Summary:

As a key member of the Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady team, the Director of Planning and Analysis will be responsible for leading the financial planning function and providing analytical support to all internal operating departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning, analysis, and operations, with excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial and business operating plans that align with the company's overall strategic positioning.
  • Anticipate and react to changes in planning assumptions, revising plans as necessary.
  • Manage the preparation of budgets, operating reviews, and financial packages for presentation.
  • Understand and document goals, strategies, and critical issues that drive business success.
  • Prepare annual plan balance sheets, cash flow, and income statements.
  • Analyze proposed events, promotions, and direct mail programs to determine financial justification and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Measure and monitor host and junket productivity reports.
  • Prepare all other financial analysis of revenue, marketing, or cost programs to determine economic feasibility and advise management on recommendations.

Requirements:

  • BS or BA in Accounting, Finance, or Business. CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Ability to pull and analyze data using Access, Tableau, and SQL.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including knowledge of pivot tables, vlookup, and building dashboards.
  • Minimum five years' analytical operations experience in planning, finance, or market research environment required.
  • Minimum three years' financial management experience required.
  • Knowledge of gaming industry is preferred.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of financial planning operations, including financial/operations analysis, people/resource management, financial and database modeling.
  • Fluent in use of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Google Suite.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills required.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication, team building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.

  • Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team, while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
