Job Title: Assistant Clinical Director

Conifer Park Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Clinical Director to join our Outpatient team in Schenectady, NY.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Clinical Director will report directly to the Clinical Director and be responsible for carrying out clinical goals and objectives, staffing needs, direct program operation and management, and maintaining the clinical aspects of Conifer Park program in compliance with the standards for the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals and New York Licensure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct in-vivo supervision to program management and clinical case management staff to ensure consistent and effective clinical services.
  • Assist in quality assurance and performance improvement projects.
  • Manage employee recruitment and retention activities.
  • Develop and provide training and staff development programs.
  • Conduct orientation sessions and arrange on-the-job training for new hires.
  • Provide internal consulting to management to drive organizational change and effectiveness.
  • Support curriculum development and evaluation of modules related to harm reduction, substance use, recovery support, trauma-informed care, and skills for working with clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local community providers serving people with substance use disorder.
  • Manage clinical department staffing patterns and scheduling.
  • Participate in all duties of the therapist on a limited and/or random basis and be available on an emergency basis to respond to problems outside of routine working hours.
Requirements:

Masters' Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling with either a Limited permit or license, with a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience, and at least 1-year supervisory experience in alcoholism/chemical dependency field. Must demonstrate competence in organizational and administrative areas, high-level interpersonal and communication skills, and strong customer service skills dealing with internal and external customers.
