Position Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable professional in the field of strategic procurement and vendor oversight. The role of the Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management Specialist is essential in managing and enhancing our supplier partnerships to ensure they align with our operational policies and organizational objectives.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management: Supervise and manage supplier relationships across the organization, ensuring adherence to procurement policies and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Foster and maintain critical relationships with key suppliers to promote innovation, cost-effectiveness, and future needs, in accordance with established supplier management protocols.
  • Proposal and Contract Management: Facilitate the management of requests for proposals, bids, and contract negotiations, providing clear guidance and ongoing communication to relevant teams.
  • Compliance Oversight: Provide expertise on sourcing and contracting guidelines, ensuring compliance with organizational requirements.
  • Performance Evaluation: Conduct evaluations of supplier performance, manage scorecards, and ensure adherence to contract stipulations and service commitments.
  • Order and Contract Administration: Assist in the processing and upkeep of purchase orders, contracts, and proposals.
  • Diverse Supplier Certification: Oversee the certification process for diverse suppliers, ensuring accurate status and supporting documentation.
  • Staffing Program Management: Administer the Preferred Staffing program, monitor the performance of staffing vendors, promote the program internally, and manage non-employee access requests.
  • Customer Satisfaction Management: Proactively manage expectations of both internal and external stakeholders to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Assist in the creation of management reports, track essential vendor management metrics, and support periodic risk assessments with stakeholders.
  • Audit Involvement: Engage in internal and external audits to verify compliance and operational integrity.
  • Process Enhancement: Evaluate and recommend improvements to operational processes to boost efficiency.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other related tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
  • Strong grasp of vendor management processes and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional communication and coordination abilities, with a proactive approach to managing expectations.
  • Experience with purchase orders, contracts, and vendor performance metrics.
  • Capability to manage diverse supplier certification processes and staffing initiatives.
  • Proficient in developing and analyzing management reports and key performance indicators.
  • Experience in participating in audits and risk evaluations.
