About Our Client:

Addison Group is seeking a Procurement Specialist for our client, an international specialty insurance organization that provides innovative solutions for brokers, agents, and insurance carriers.

Job Overview:

The Procurement Specialist will oversee vendor partnerships, spearhead sourcing initiatives, and negotiate contractual agreements. This position requires collaboration across departments to pinpoint process enhancements and deliver administrative assistance to the Procurement Division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Vice President and Procurement Manager in all procurement endeavors.
  • Manage the procurement inbox, directing requests to the relevant team members.
  • Offer analytical support and lead RFI, RFQ, and RFP procedures.
  • Craft scope of work and bidding documents for RFPs in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and negotiations.
  • Implement cost-saving strategies and oversee supplier performance management.
  • Draft and prepare contractual documents including Master Agreements, NDAs, and Statements of Work.
  • Maintain a contracts database and generate reports for executive leadership.
  • Verify and approve requisitions in Workday.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5 years of procurement experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend contracts.
  • Proficiency in Workday is highly preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of contractual terms and conditions, intellectual property issues, and legal risks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven capacity to cultivate strong relationships with colleagues, internal partners, and external vendors.
  • Ability to manage change, work under pressure, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines independently.
