Job Overview

The role of the AAA Implementation Engineer is pivotal in the design and deployment of infrastructure tools and services across various technical domains, ensuring adherence to architectural governance, standards, and policies. This position is tasked with leading the deployment of innovative solutions, maintaining essential templates, playbooks, and automation processes that facilitate effective implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that application and business requirements are accurately transformed into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks to guide the development and integration of technology solutions.
  • Participate in the creation and selection of both functional and non-functional product evaluation criteria across multiple domains.
  • Analyze and potentially develop software solutions to enhance efficiency by addressing manual tasks and repetitive processes.
  • Evaluate reference models, blueprints, and playbooks, while overseeing on-site assessments of third-party products considered for adoption.
  • Mentor Infrastructure resources on service delivery and application integration validation methods to ensure compliance with enterprise design and engineering standards.
  • Foster a collaborative and healthy work environment, assisting in the resolution of organizational challenges.
  • Attend project meetings as necessary and coordinate change schedules with assigned engineers.
  • Represent change records (CRQs) in various discussions and regional pre-CAB meetings.
  • Communicate changes to peer teams regionally to ensure awareness and representation.
  • Collaborate with testers for change validation and ensure peer reviews are attached to CRQs.
  • Generate changes (CRQs) based on documentation provided by the RDM engineer.
  • Participate in weekly internal change calls and various change review discussions.
  • Review test plans and results, contributing to root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with working in regulated and large global enterprises is advantageous.
  • Develop and distribute Change Communication templates for weekend changes.
  • Create work orders and requests to engage necessary services for updates.

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise identity authentication technologies, including AAA (RADIUS/TACACS), 802.1X (Wired/Wireless), RSA, and token-based systems.
  • Proficiency with Aruba ClearPass Policy Server or Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) is essential.
  • Experience with Network Access Control (NAC) 802.1X for both Wired and Wireless networks is required.
  • Familiarity with Remote Access (VPN posture) and Secure Cloud Analytics (Stealthwatch) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SSL Certificate Authorities and certificate management processes.
  • Strong background in security engineering, system and network security, authentication and authorization protocols, cryptography, and application security.
  • Proficient in tools such as Splunk and Excel, with experience in automation being a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, TLS, and 802.1X.
  • Experience in testing and change validation, risk mitigation, and security assessments.
  • Familiarity with Project Management and ITSM methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Change Management and CAB processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with a self-starter attitude and initiative.
  • Commitment to execution, delivery, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage risk and make informed decisions while understanding the broader business strategy.
  • Strong accountability and influence, with effective communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

  • Familiarity with Clearpass, Stealthwatch, ISE, AAA, SPLUNK, Excel, MS Project, load balancing, captive portals, NA3RC, and network configuration.
