Overview:
Laboratory Services Supervisor


Key Responsibilities:

General Duties:
Conduct regular evaluations of all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure precision and verify that processes are executed in accordance with established SOPs. Engage in the development, assessment, and updates of SOPs as necessary.

Fulfill training obligations as designated and maintain accurate training records.

Ensure adherence to all SOPs, policies, and procedures while complying with Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), USDA regulations, AAALAC standards, OLAW guidelines, the PCRS Employee Handbook, and other relevant regulations.

Departmental Leadership

Responsibilities:
Facilitate and oversee the onboarding and training of new team members.

Effectively coordinate the workload of direct reports.

Possess a thorough understanding of applicable national and state regulations, applying these practices in daily operations.

Demonstrate a working knowledge of and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Exhibit familiarity with general laboratory practices and procedures.

Capable of working autonomously.

Possess strong written and verbal communication skills: must effectively manage personnel on a daily basis.

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.

Document analytical findings accurately.

Engage constructively with clients.

Exhibit effective leadership capabilities.

Qualifications:
Must possess extensive technical expertise, including a deep understanding of chemistry, instrumentation, and laboratory operations.

Strong organizational skills are essential.

Proficient in utilizing computer systems to compile and maintain records and generate technical reports.

*This position may be available at various levels for candidates who meet the qualifications through a combination of advanced education and/or relevant experience. The salary range will be adjusted based on the candidate's experience and/or educational background.
