Position: Commercial Landscape Sales Representative

Objective:

The Commercial Landscape Sales Representative is a vital role responsible for identifying and securing new landscape maintenance contracts. This individual will cultivate relationships with potential clients, generate leads, and ultimately drive profitable growth for the company's maintenance division.

Responsibilities
  • Business Development:
    • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting a diverse portfolio of businesses.
    • Proactively prospect, qualify, present, and close new business opportunities with target clients such as multi-family housing complexes, medical offices, shopping centers, HOAs, CDDs, and office parks.
    • Build relationships at various levels within organizations to create opportunities for landscape maintenance services.
    • Create accurate and timely proposals that align with each client's objectives and budget.
    • Manage the entire sales process from initial contact through strategy development, proposal presentation, and successful contract closure.
    • Demonstrate creativity and independent judgment in developing and evaluating sales and marketing strategies for a broad range of services within a defined market.
    • Identify client needs and business objectives to develop customized solutions that meet their specific requirements.
    • Consistently achieve or exceed established new sales targets.
    • Ensure seamless transition of new customer accounts to the Operations Team.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
    • Actively participate in professional groups and associations that foster new business connections.
    • Contribute to the creation and refinement of marketing materials.
  • Administrative/Other:
    • Maintain accurate customer database records and sales tracking information within designated systems.
    • Regularly update individual monthly forecast plans.
    • Ensure adherence to standard contract procedures, timely setup, filing, and billing processes.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact between clients and the branch team during the onboarding process.
    • Assist with various projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications & Specific Skills
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the landscaping industry with a proven track record in B2B sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new leads and accurately estimate landscape maintenance proposals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities; capable of managing changing priorities and workflow effectively.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and improvement of company standards, procedures, and goals.
  • Exercises sound judgment and accountability in all tasks.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed to support project deadlines.
  • Dedication to ongoing skill enhancement for top-level industry performance.
  • Cost-conscious and adept at cost control measures.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in all job functions, pays attention to detail, possesses a strong work ethic, is punctual, and adheres to ethical standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High school diploma. A college degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Possesses a valid Florida driver's license.
  • Meets the physical requirements necessary to perform the job duties effectively.
