Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Account Manager to join our team at Dobbs Equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our customers, growing our market share, and driving sales revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Business Development: Sell and promote our entire product line, including new and used John Deere equipment and allied products.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Grow and develop customer relationships, increase market share, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, and develop strategies to increase customer base and market presence.
  • Order Management: Quote and negotiate prices, credit terms, prepare contracts, and record and close orders.
  • Technical Support: Provide on-site expertise for demonstrations, machine inspections, and technical support.
  • Market Awareness: Maintain a contact management database and call log for designated territory, and provide lost sales reports.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular status reports to sales management on achievement of goals and objectives.
  • Rental Conversions: Manage and maximize rental conversions.
  • Expense Management: Manage and control sales-related expenses.
  • Training and Development: Attend training and sales meetings to stay current with new equipment and special deals.
  • Feedback and Communication: Provide feedback to other departments and communicate effectively with teammates and customers.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or a minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver's License: Maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with teammates and customers, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Self-Motivation and Adaptability: Must be able to self-manage and self-motivate, with the ability to think out of the box and adapt to changing situations.
  • Technical Skills: PC literate, proficient with MS Office, with an emphasis in Excel and Outlook required.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Frequently required to walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally required to sit. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
