Position Overview:

As a Sanitation Operations Supervisor, you will oversee departmental functions and personnel, ensuring that production standards for the sanitation division are met and maintained. You will address daily challenges and projects under the guidance of the Campus Leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the sanitation department and supervise assigned staff.
  • Evaluate associate performance through effective planning, coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of both new and existing team members.
  • Monitor daily staffing levels and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Conduct departmental meetings as required.
  • Implement and communicate disciplinary actions for associates who breach company policies.
  • Oversee associates' attendance and time management.
  • Guide department associates towards achieving their individual and collective objectives through hands-on leadership.
  • Support the achievement of departmental operational and budgetary goals.
  • Provide accurate reporting to the Distribution Center Leadership Team and other stakeholders.
  • Lead specific projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Recommend modifications to procedures or processes that enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with standards related to accuracy, safety, and productivity.
  • Identify potential improvements and collaborate with teams to enhance the working environment.
  • Play a pivotal role in fostering a Continuous Improvement culture within our operations to better serve our customers, while also providing training for associates to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in a distribution warehouse setting.
  • Certification on powered industrial equipment where applicable.
  • Food Safety Certifications (GFSI) and expertise in Warehouse Sanitation Services.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a distribution environment.
  • Basic understanding of financial reports and business information.
  • Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English) is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective leadership capabilities.
  • Proficient conflict management skills.
  • Knowledge of company standard practices.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain required record-keeping.
  • Skilled in aligning associates with departmental and business objectives.
  • Willingness to work the necessary schedule to fulfill assigned responsibilities.
  • Capability to work in varying temperature environments (from -5 to over 90 degrees Fahrenheit) for extended periods.
  • Experience working in a warehouse setting with diverse conditions (e.g., cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks).
  • Ability to read and comprehend written and numeric product identifiers.
