Job Summary

Indiana Tech is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach undergraduate Composition courses in a traditional day program at the Fort Wayne campus. The successful candidate will possess a passion for teaching and a commitment to supporting students in achieving their educational and career goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruct courses as defined by course and learning objectives established through the college and outlined in the teaching letter of agreement.
  • Grade all assignments within 72 hours of the respective course deadlines.
  • Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours.
  • Report final grades for all students.
  • Collect assessment data for the course, if required.
  • Provide a supportive and engaging learning environment for a diverse student population.
  • Contribute to efforts to increase access and success in higher education for underrepresented students.
  • Align teaching practices with the mission, vision, and strategic plan of Indiana Institute of Technology.
Requirements
  • Master's degree required; Ph.D. in English, Writing, or Rhetoric and Composition is preferred.
  • Previous teaching experience is highly desirable.
  • Student-centered teaching approaches are preferred.
