About the Role

Indiana Institute of Technology is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach undergraduate courses in Physics. As a member of our faculty, you will play a critical role in shaping the minds of our students and contributing to the university's mission of providing a high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach calculus or algebra-based physics courses, or related courses, in accordance with course competencies and syllabi.
  • Grade all assignments within 72 hours of the respective course deadlines.
  • Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours.
  • Report final grades for all students.
  • Provide a supportive and engaging learning environment for a diverse student population.
  • Support efforts to increase access and success in higher education for underrepresented students.
  • Support the university's mission, vision, and strategic plan.
  • Foster relationships with students both in and out of the classroom.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Physics; Doctorate preferred.
  • Strong technological aptitude with knowledge of Canvas (LMS) and Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Student-centered focus and a strong interest in working with students.

Qualified candidates should be strongly committed to excellence in teaching and working collaboratively in a multicultural environment that values diversity. A strong commitment to higher education is expected. Applicants should demonstrate a capacity for high-quality teaching and the ability to use technology effectively in all aspects of their work.
