Job Title: Project Engineer Diver

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer Diver to join our team at Marine Solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge, significant experience, and advanced technical capabilities in marine engineering and construction.

Job Summary

The Project Engineer Diver position performs a variety of engineering duties, including field inspection, material testing, evaluation, analysis, design, and technical document preparation under the direction of a higher-level engineer. The successful candidate will be able to conduct assigned engineering work in compliance with applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and internal procedures and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform field inspection and evaluation of structures under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
  • Perform testing of materials and incorporate results into reports under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
  • Perform complex engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
  • Prepare comprehensive engineering documents, including inspection reports, design plans, and specifications under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
  • Actively participate in internal project meetings and work to resolve project issues.
  • Actively promote a safe work culture.
Requirements
  • Technical knowledge, experience, and capabilities in marine engineering and construction.
  • Proficiency in computer-assisted engineering and office software and equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in the English language.
  • Ability to define problems, collect/interpret data, evaluate facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and effectively.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in civil, structural, or ocean engineering from an accredited four-year university.
  • 0-4 years of engineering experience.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • ADCI Commercial Diver or the ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Valid US Driver's License.

  • FHWA-NHI #Bridge Inspection Refresher.
  • FHWA-NHI #Bridge Inspection Techniques for Nonredundant Steel Tension Members (NSTM) Refresher.

  • SPRAT Rope Access Technician.
  • OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety Course.
  • NASBLA Boater Safety Course.
